1. Survey Your Home
An initial inspection of your residence will be done to determine where the EV Charging Station should be installed. Typically the garage or driveway. There will need to be an electrical panel within 20 feet of the chosen location. If there isn’t one currently, our WMB Electricians will happily install an electrical panel close by.

2. Recommend Best Charger
There are two different charging levels to choose from. We can help determine which charging level is right for you.

3. Install On Your Schedule
Once everything is ready to go we will schedule the installation for your Electrical Vehicle Charging Station.
Different EV Charging Levels
Level 1 and Level 2 chargers are available for residential electrical vehicle charging stations.
Level 1 Charging:
Level 1 car chargers use the standard 120-volt charging option. This is the lowest charging method available, but it works with a regular household outlet and is the most affordable option. Generally takes 12 to 24 hours to charge your vehicle and adds 4 miles of Range Per Hour (RPH).
Level 2 Charging:
A special 240-volt outlet is needed for level 2 charging and is the more convenient charging option. Level 2 charges the car 5 to 7 times faster than level 1 and adds an additional 25 more miles of Range Per Hour (RPH).
Benefits of Electrical Vehicle Charging Stations
Is it worth installing a home EV charging station? Here are a few of the benefits:
Convenient
Having an at home EV charging station is just more convenient. Electric vehicle charging stations are not nearly as accessible as gas stations. And, in addition, you may have to wait for another EV driver to finish up with their car. Nothing beats the comfort of home charging.
Lengthen The Life Of Your Battery
As with all batteries, your electric vehicle’s battery has a shelf life. However, there are ways to lengthen the life of the battery. Public charging stations offer faster charging (much faster than Level 2 Chargers) but, overtime, will wear your battery down faster. Home chargers can be configured for ideal manufacture-recommended speed that will help your EV battery last longer.
Boost Home Value
Having an EV charging station can add to the value of your home and attract future buyers or tenants. This while only increase as electrical vehicles become more and more popular.
Incentives
There are many perks of having an EV charging station including tax incentives and rebates. Many cities and states offer tax incentives for individuals who have charging stations. Additionally, the Utah Department of Environmental Quality offers rebates for installing the Level 2 charger.
